Finding Good Mentors in 2019

Hello sweet friends! Happy 2019!

One great way I have found to stay on track with my goals throughout the year is to find and follow good mentors online, who's content I find valuable.

Searching for mentors:

Think about some subjects you are interested in, or subjects you have set goals about -- for example, meal planning, finance, yoga, thought work, chakras, crafting, gardening, or anything you find of interest! -- and look up podcasts, blogs, and YouTube channels dedicated to those subjects.

Search for mentors who's content connects with you and your goal the most. I find the most value from mentors who post new, quality content fairly regularly regarding topics that interest me, and who share progress on their own goals and projects. It is amazing the mentors and resources I have found over the past year by making intentional searches like this.

Also, ask your friends and family about content that has inspired them to accomplish their goals!

Good mentors have helped me to accomplish my personal goals, because:

1. I learn useful information regarding the specific subject of my goals from listening to my mentors podcasts, watching their YouTube videos, and reading their blogs and social media posts, which I use to help accomplish my goals.

2. I am motivated when I see what my mentors accomplish and understand what is possible regarding the specific subject of my goals.

3. Mentors typically mention additional resources regarding the subject of my goals, such as websites and even other mentors, that I find additional value in.

A few mentors who's content continues to help me accomplish my goals, in no particular order:
  • Adriene Mishler, Yoga with Adriene; re: Yoga
  • Brooke Castillo, The Life Coach School; re: Thought work
  • Jody Moore, Better than Happy; re: Thought work
  • Dave Ramsey, The Dave Ramsey Show; re: Finance
  • Kalyn Nicholson, YouTuber; re: Lifestyle
  • Tony Robbins, re: Thought work
  • Joe Rogan, re: Learning
  • Lavendaire, re: Lifestyle
  • Maya Fieness, re: Kundalini yoga
  • Sarah Hall, re: Spirituality, astrology
  • Sadia Badiei, Pick Up Limes, re: Nutrition
Please comment below and share any mentors that have helped inspire you to accomplish your goals or provided value in your life. I am grateful to learn from you all. Love and blessing. ❤️
